Use our in-app messaging to communicate — it keeps your contact details private until you choose to share them. Be cautious of anyone who pressures you to move off the platform quickly or asks for sensitive information.

Meeting in Person

When meeting to complete a sale or purchase:

• Meet in public — Choose well-lit, busy locations like marina car parks, dockside cafes, or crew mess areas.
• Tell someone — Let a friend or colleague know where you're going and when you expect to be back.
• Inspect before paying — Check the item thoroughly in person before handing over any money.
• Avoid carrying large sums — Use electronic payments when possible.
• Trust your gut — If something feels off, walk away. There will be other opportunities.

Red Flags to Watch For

• Prices that seem too good to be true
• Buyers or sellers who refuse to meet in person or use in-app messaging
• Requests for advance payment before you've seen the item
• Pressure to complete the deal quickly or outside the platform
• Vague or inconsistent descriptions
